Perfect Red Lips

Red lips are a classic and have yet to go out of style. I must admit that I was part of the ‘there’s-no-way-i-can-pull-off-red-lips’ group, but I wear it with full confidence. Want to know how to wear a red lip? Well here are some simple but full-proof tips to get the perfect red lips.
1.
Minimum Makeup: To avoid looking like a clown, you want to keep your face makeup as simple as possible. Apply black liner on the tops of your lids only and add some mascara, making sure to apply to your bottom lashes as this will open up your eyes (spider lashes would give the look more of an edgy feel).
2.       Line Inside Your Lips: to minimise feathering and bleeding, fill in your lips with liner first. Choose the appropriate colour to match your lipstick.
3.       Pick your Colour: If you have a cool complexion, choose cooler reds like a true red or a pinkish red. If you have a warm complexion, choose warmer reds with a brown base, like a brick or rusty red.
4.       Blending Is In: Many makeup artists blend several colours together to create the perfect colour, but make sure you try it out a series of options before you go out.
5.       Setting Time:  To set your Lipstick you can blot with a tissue and lightly dust your lips with powder to give it extra staying power
Voila! Remember to confident and you will look stunning!

What is your favourite Red Lipstick?

Makeup must-haves for the Beach

The warmth of Summer/Spring sun is arriving. About time i say! So i need to change my makeup around, making it suitable for both weather and appearance. Down below i have listed drugstore products and a high end dupes to achieve a stunning look no matter what!

Lashes:
  • Maybelline New York Great Lash Waterproof Mascara, $15.95                                                   This mascara has a creamy formula that is easily applied to your lashes with no clumping. And as a bonus it can last for a entire beach session! Serious staple right here.
  • Napoleon Perdis Mesmer-Eyes Waterproof Mascara, $35
This mascara is the triple-threat of the lash world: it lengthens, adds volume and its comb applicator coats every single lash.
Lips:
  •  Fresh Lip Sugar Rose, $23
This tinted lip balm is your one-way ticket to 'to die for' lips. It is packed with moisture and all natural ingredients PLUS it adds a hint of colour!
  • MAC Tinted Conditioner SPF 15 in Gentle Coral, $14
With added sun protection and treats your lips this Lip Conditioner will brighten up your face in seconds with a slick colour of coral gloss. It’s a miracle product if you ask me!
Face:
  • Neutrogena Wet Skin Sunblock Spray SPF 85+, $10
Surf, humidity or sweat – there’s no match for this amazing skincare product! This will be your spring/summer beach-side essential. Guaranteed.
  • Aveeno Hydrosport Sunblock Spray SPF85, $11.39                                                                         This is the sunscreen for those who want to spend all day out in the sun. You can spray it directly onto damp skin the second you out of the water—no towel required—and it will absorb. Plus, I love the sporty orange bottle.
( I couldnt find any good high end Dupes for the Face so i just stuck with another drugstore product)

What would i choose?
Lashes - I'm a big fan of Maybelline mascaras anyway, but the reason i chose the Maybelline over Napoleon is that i dont feel the need to have perfect looking lashes when going to the beach. All i want is a mascara that will coat and stay on, i dont need all the extras if it's not necessary.
Lips - I would purchase the Fresh Lips because I would much prefer to use Natural ingredients, and a hint of colour doesn't hurt either.
Face - Even though i love the thought of applying sunscreen without having to towel dry, I have to say i would much rather purchase the neutrogena sunscreen because that it can withstand the non water element as well as water.

What would you choose? Do you have any other suggestions?

Hope this was helpful. xx
